Why I picked this podcast
Part quiz show, part offbeat trivia, join in on the fun with a team of pub quiz friends and trivia fanatics. The themed episode features games, quizzes, music challenges, or weird history from each of the hosts. Where else will you learn that ‘snarge’ is the residue left behind after an unfortunate collision between a bird and a plane?

25: Transforming Cattle Ranches into Compassionate Businesses | Renee King-Sonnen
Why I picked this podcast
The whole series explores how eating less or no meat can affect us through sharing personal stories. This episode is particularly interesting as it touches on how farm owners in the meat industry can transition to cruelty-free farming without losing the farm!

74: Craning
Why I picked this podcast:
When you read about important moments in history, it’s sometimes easy to forget there were real people there, too. We often focus on the “What happened?” and forget to ask, “Who all made this happen?” As two different billionaires launched themselves into space this summer, all I could think about was this episode of The Memory Palace, and wonder about the pieces of history that made these big moments; the many anonymous lives spent working tirelessly to make citizen space travel possible.

Chameleon: Hollywood Con Queen
Why I picked this podcast
I love podcast series, especially investigative shows where they interview, follow up, and find out new info as the episodes are released. I found this one fascinating because this con was for the con’s sake. There really was no other benefit to the con person, so the series is partly to find out the motivation behind it all. The person is actually a genius with a lot of skill so it’s interesting they chose this path for themselves when it seems as though they could have been quite successful in the film industry.

The Body is Not An Apology – with Sonya Renee-Taylor
Why I picked this podcast
After a quote from Taylor was misattributed to Brene Brown, the two got together to discuss Taylor’s book and how radical self-love can heal the wounds inflicted by systems of oppression that thrive off our inability to make peace with difference and injure the relationship we have with our own bodies. The talk was so incredibly profound and thought-provoking. I had to pause it several times to let moments sink in. Highly recommend this episode and all the others in the Unlocking Us catalog.

Making Republicans Environmentalists Again
Why I picked this podcast
I love how this podcast educates on many aspects of the challenges facing the world related to climate change, including history lessons, calls to action, and spotlights on people championing the cause. This particular episode investigates the history of environmentalism in the Republican Party, when and why conservatism in the US moved away from environmentalism, and how this differs from European environmentalism where both ends of the political spectrum are involved in crafting their nations’ responses to climate change.
