George Mason University started working with Digital Wave® in 2014 to redevelop their main university site, and eventually unify and standardize their hundreds of websites living on a multitude of different platforms. In addition, they wanted to establish a new content approach to guide students toward academic programs that would help them meet their personal and professional goals.
We helped Mason reinvent their web presence through:
- Conducting stakeholder and end-user discovery to inform a new content strategy
- Selecting a new CMS to meet the various technical and administrative requirements
- Establishing a repeatable process and protocols for creating and managing web content and onboarding new sites
- Implementing a responsive, comprehensive, and consistent information architecture and user experience
- Creating a flexible site template to meet the unique needs of colleges, schools, departments, and centers within the university
- Producing training workshops and resources for content creators
- Completing full site build-outs
- Populating content for the main site and subsequent sites
- Providing web governance and ongoing consultation
