Long before “user experience” and “content strategy” became common buzzwords, Digital Wave® began creating engaging online experiences by fulfilling user needs. Our earliest work involved building groundbreaking custom interfaces for major commercial accounts such as AT&T, Mellon Bank, and Unisys. While the industry obsessed over flashy interfaces and fad technologies, we shifted our focus from commercial environments and click rates to education and NFP/healthcare environments, which rely on user engagement and relationship building.
Our higher ed portfolio expanded in the mid-2000s to include everything from small community colleges to large universities like Rutgers and Virginia State. We also collaborated on more healthcare projects with The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, various medical boards, and fledgling initiatives looking to improve wellness and awareness. Our partnerships continued to grow as we merged with our now parent company Antech Systems, Inc. in 2012.
