Starting in 2017, Digital Wave® and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Repository and Genomics Resource (NRGR) began working together to create an interface that allows researchers to explore and download phenotypic and genetic data for the study of mental disorders. Supported by Rutgers and several other institutions, this critical customer touchpoint guides users through the process of accessing data and biosamples, as well as submitting recorded data. Digital Wave and the NRGR team fine tuned each critical function of the web interface to simplify the experience, empower researchers to contribute and collaborate, and present the complex subject matter in an approachable, accurate way.
Our work on the project included:
- Branding/logo design
- Functional requirements gathering
- Integration strategy and web architecture
- Comprehensive responsive graphic design services
- Content strategy and information design for critical functions
- Full frontend build-out
- Ongoing content consultation and development support to the backend implementation team
