Dr. Khadijah Costley White, Associate Professor in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University, approached Digital Wave to refresh her personal website and launch a new site for This is Not a Drill — her latest research project examining the impacts of active shooter drills in schools. We wanted to help Dr. White bring This is Not a Drill to a wider audience via a beautiful, interactive website and opted to use the no-code solution Squarespace. We worked with Dr. White to adapt her existing content for the web and added several opportunities for users to get involved throughout the clean, engaging site template that Dr. White could continue to evolve on her own.
For Dr. White’s personal site, we migrated the content into a new Squarespace template and updated the visuals to better suit her personal style and highlight her professional achievements. Our work with Dr. White was challenging and rewarding, and we were happy to complete both sites in a way that fit her requirements and enabled her to own and grow her web presence moving forward.
